During a publishing career spanning more than 30 years, McGorry was a key figure in the expansion of prominent media publications, including Broadcasting & Cable and Multichannel News.
He served as the B+C Hall of Fame Chairman for almost 20 years, until his own induction in 2024. He now serves as Chairman Emeritus.
